Debra A. Maurer, (nee-Butcher), 65, of Columbia Station peacefully flew home after a long fight on Saturday October 3, 2020 at the Life Care Center of Elyria. She was born March 17, 1955 in Gasaway, WV. And was a long time Columbia Station resident. A 1973 Columbia High School graduate, Debra worked as a customer service representative at Sheetz in North Ridgeville and enjoyed cooking, gardening and any craft imaginable. Survivors include her daughters, Tarrah Bernaciak and Jessica Maurer; sons, Charles "Gus" Maurer and Russell Maurer; grandchildren, Lydea, Cayden and Courtney; mother, Edra Butcher; sister, Julie (Mike) O'Brien; sister-in-law, Cindy Butcher. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Butcher and a brother, Terry Butcher. There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 13, 2020 at the American Wilderness Campground and Event Center 17273 Avon Belden Rd. Grafton, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Tarrah Bernaciak 102B StilesandWells Dr. Moncks Corner S.C. 29461. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria.
