Deborah Lynn Dunn, (nee-Zoltai), 75, of Elyria passed away April 27, 2026.

She was born October 19, 1950, to the late Elmer Zoltai and Shirley Gwin. She spent much of her life caring for others, something that came naturally to her. Deborah ran an in-home daycare for many years and found great joy in teaching, nurturing, and helping children grow. The families and little ones she cared for were an important part of her life, and she took pride in the love and guidance she gave them.

Outside of caring for children, Deborah enjoyed quiet moments with a good book or curling up to watch a favorite television drama. She loved visiting Cape May, New Jersey, and spending time by the ocean. She was well known for her collection of Santa Claus and Snowman figures, and made the very best chicken paprikash. Above all else, she loved her family deeply. Her daughters and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she treasured the time she spent with them.

Survivors include her daughters, Kimberly Jontony and Jennifer Dunn; her brothers, Brad Loomis and Rick Loomis; and her beloved grandchildren, Cassy,Lexi, Dylan, Logan and Isabelle.

She will be remembered for her caring heart, her devotion to children, and the love she shared with her family.

She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elyria.
