Deborah (Debbie) Pinter (nee Atkinson), age 65 of Elyria, passed away on April 16, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family, after bravely fighting cancer for the last 5 years. Debbie was born August 12, 1959 in Wheeling, West Virginia but spent her early years in Cotati, California. She grew up riding horses and was a twirler in the baton corps. After five years in California, her family moved to North Ridgeville and she graduated in 1977 from North Ridgeville High School. She attended Notre Dame College in Cleveland for a short time to study Accounting. From 1983-2012, Debbie worked as a government contractor for Lockheed Martin as the Project Manager and IT Help Desk Manager at NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland. In 1983 she married the love of her life, Clay Pinter of Elyria. Together, they shared 37 wonderful years filled with fun adventures and a love for traveling and had two daughters, Danielle and Dana. Debbie was a fun-loving woman with many interests which included: riding motorcycles with Clay, traveling, boating, airshows, concerts, hosting parties in the backyard and was a member of the Elyria Country Club. She loved sitting on the back porch and watching the river go by and she always filled the home with music playing in the background.
