Dean Robert Austin, 86, of Elyria passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at his home surrounded by family following a brief illness. He was born January 4, 1934 in North Ridgeville and was a graduate of North Ridgeville High School. He enjoyed traveling to Florida and North Carolina, the beach, casinos, but especially spending time with family and friends. Dean worked for Erico products as a machinist. Survivors include his sons Kenny (Jenny) of Elyria, Daniel (Sandy) of Medina, Rick (Karen) of Elyria; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; his twin brother Dale (Georgia) of North Ridgeville. He was preceded in death by his wife Katie (nee Norman) in 2016; Infant daughter; parents Charles and Leona Austin ( nee Brokaw). There will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held at Fields Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elyria, 440-322-4626.
