David P. Tumbas 91 of Elyria passed away Friday January 23, 2015 at Life Care Center of Elyria following a short illness. He was born April 10, 1923 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania where he resided until he moved to Elyria in 1954 and was a graduate of Johnstown High in Pennsylvania. He owned and operated his own business, One Hour Cleaners of Elyria, for 34 years until his retirement in 1988. David was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Survivors include 4 sons Rev. Steve (Betsy) of Plymouth, California , Dave (Sharon) of New Albany, Ohio , Gary (Marlene) and Mark (Dee Dee) both of Grafton, 8 grandchildren Elise (Michael) Keller , Alexandra , Nicci , Nina (Michael) Hein , Nadine , Milica (Steven) Accord , Nikola , Anna , and 2 great-grandsons Noah and Oliver Keller. He was preceded in death by his wife 1n 2006 Helen (nee Milkovich), parents Petar and Milica (nee Radovich), 2 sisters Milica and Mary , 8 brothers Dragich, Milan , Steve, Mike , Nick , Djuro, Bob , and George. Family will receive friends 4-8PM Tuesday January 27, 2015 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
