David L. Snider, 75, of Elyria, passed away on August 6, 2022 at Saint John Medical Center in Westlake. He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on September 10, 1946 to parents John and Mary Snider (nee: Duelley). He graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1964 and married his sweetheart, Shirley(nee: Staats) on November 30, 1963. He worked as a carpenter and salesman for Cumberland Construction and was a member of the Carpenters Union in Cleveland. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan, certified realtor, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. David was loved by all, and will be remembered as a great storyteller who was quick with a joke. Survivors include his daughter; Kimberly Ann (Joseph) Croftcheck; sons, Matthew (Angela) Snider and Robert (Michelle) Snider; grandchildren, John, Crystal, David, Jacob, Elizabeth, Amanda, Benjamin; great-granddaughter, Ivy Ann. He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley, brother Gary and parents John and Mary. The visitation is scheduled for Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 11am – 1pm until the time of service at 1pm at Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria.
