WITH PHOTO David E. Seel, 71, of Grafton passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born July 9, 1950 in Jackson, Ohio. David enjoyed working on cars, spending time with family especially the grandchildren while attending their sporting events. David touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife of 23 years Ruth (nee De Long); daughters, Heidi (Jose) Matias, Heather Seel, and Candace (Justin) Bean; son, Matthew (Sabrina) Seel; grandchildren, Brittney (Matt) Wolfe, Brianna (Nate) Cyrus, Jaedon Matias, Zach Seel and Tori Seel; great-grandchildren, Coen Wolfe, Liam Cyrus, and Hadlee Cyrus; sister, Ruth Conrad; brothers, Fred Sr. (Vi), Charles "Chuck" Jr., Raymond (Sandy); many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Seel Sr. and Elizabeth (nee Drake); sister, Elizabeth "Libby" Gump. Family will receive friends from 5 PM until time of service at 7PM Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
