David A. Prieur, 74, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 21, 2021 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center. He was born May 27, 1947 in Vermilion. David was a graduate of Vermilion High School and obtained his Bachelor's degree in business. He enjoyed visiting lighthouses, making models, gardening and was a Chicago Bears fan. Survivors include his wife of 46 years Carol (nee Bott); daughter, Katy Prieur; son Matthew (Shannon) Prieur; grandchildren Chloe and Monet Prieur; companion dog Ruby; sisters, Patricia McGuire and Suzanne (Randy) Krichbaum. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elma Prieur (nee Johnson). A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
