David W. Myers, 76, of Penfield Township passed away Saturday February 25, 2023 at his home following a long illness. He was born January 5, 1947 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria area resident. David was employed by Ohio Edison for 35 years, retiring in 2008 as an inventory manager. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Litchfield where he volunteered for many functions, was a 1965 graduate of Midview High School, a 1969 graduate of Lorain County Community College and enjoyed playing golf, the outdoors and nature. Survivors include his wife Cindy (nee-Worthington); daughters, Barb (Tom) Barton and Erin (Gary) Safir; son, Eric (Jamie) Myers; grandchildren, Matthew (wife, Brena), Katie, Charlie, Jacob and Logan; sister, Gail (Ken) Schroeder; brothers, Robert (Kim) Myers and Philip Myers. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elfreda Myers. The family will receive friends on Thursday March 2, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Church 9608 Norwalk Road (State Rt. 18), Litchfield. The Rev. Fr. Edward Suszynski, pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
