David H. Long 72, of Litchfield went home to be with his Savior and Lord on Tuesday November 24, 2015 following an apparent heart attack at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland. He was born February 9, 1943 in Elyria. David earned his Eagle Scout Award and God and Country Award while in Boy Scouts. He was a 1961 LaGrange High School and a 1966 Lorain County Community College graduate. David worked for Guilford Instrument for sixteen years, then owned and operated a dairy farm. He was the former owner and broker of Long's Waterfront Realty, and was most recently a realtor with Russell Realty. David loved the Lord Jesus Christ, taught Sunday School and lead the choir. He treasured spending time with family and friends, enjoyed ham radio, and gardening. Survivors include his wife of forty nine years; Judith A. (nee: King), a daughter; Lori A. McConnell (Eric) of Ohio, a son; David J. Long of Michigan, two brothers; Jerry Long (Linda) of Ohio, Glenn Long (Joyce) of Michigan, and two grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his parents; Willmot and Ruth (nee: Stock) Long, and a brother; Robert Long.
