David Wayne Gill 71, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday January 13 , 2015 at UH Elyria Medical Center. He was born June 8, 1943 in Summerlee, West Virginia. David enjoyed watching his grandchildren and going to all of their sporting events , also enjoyed drag racing and was very passionate about riding motorcycles. David also helped give the gift of life as a donor. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Evelyn (nee Fields) , daughters Elaine (Ray)Connolly , Michele (Michael) Jirousek , Kimberly (David) Clarke , son Robert (Lisa) , 15 Grandchildren , 5 Great-grandchildren , nephews Cary (Shannon) Gill and Danny Gill. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Dorothy Gill Canterbury (nee Lemons), and brother Roger Alan Gill. Family will receive friends 1-3PM Saturday January 24, 2015 at the Church of Christ-Lorain 5075 Toledo Rd. Lorain, Ohio , where services will be held at 3PM. Evangelist Robert Eddy will officiate.
