David Charles Buckland "Captain Dave", 77, of Elyria passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on December 1, 2021. He was born June 8, 1944 in Cranberry, WV. David worked for General Motors for 34 years, after retiring he was a charter boat Captain of the Sandy-B for 15 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, helping others, traveling and loved the outdoors. David was a devoted member of Sugar Ridge Baptist Church and deeply loved the Lord. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years Sandra (nee Harmon); daughters, DeAnna Buckland, Drema (Glen) Teeple, and Joyce Plas; sons, Randolph Buckland and Steven Buckland (Ronda Rucker); grandchildren Genie (Justin) Karl, Katie Miller, Bethany (Cody) Schlusser, Adam Buckland, Dylan (Jessica) Buckland, Tony (Amanda) McAnally, Alex (Rianna)) McAnally, Andrew (Ashley) McAnally, Robert (Keota) Green, Brandie Green, Joey Buckland, Kyra Buckland, and Vaughn Buckland; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (Ron) Komendera, and Gerri Jones; brother, Donald Buckland. He was preceded in death by his parents Randolph and Rosalie Buckland (nee Williams); brother, Randolph Buckland. Family will receive friends 10AM until time of Service at 12 PM Monday, December 6, 2021 at Sugar Ridge Baptist Church 36600 Sugar Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, OH. 44039.
