Obituary

David F. Bernath 63, of Grafton passed away Saturday November 12, 2011 at home following a long illness. He was born March 31, 1948 in Toledo, OH. David served with the United States Marine Corp. in Vietnam. He was a union laborer in the construction trades. David enjoyed spending time with his family; he was an avid sports fan especially enjoying wrestling, The New York Yankees, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Survivors include his wife of thirty two years; Joni L. (nee: Morgan), two sons; Matt L. (Becky) of Spencer, Jason A. of Grafton, additional survivors include his mother; Phyllis Bernath (nee: Baker) five grandchildren; Trinity, Breannah, Blake, Mason, Braxton, and a sister; Karen Mitchell of Clearwater, FL. David was preceded in death by his father; John Bernath, a brother; John and a sister; Joan Johnson. Post #1079 will provide full military honor services at 8:00 PM Wednesday following visitation. Burial will be on Wednesday December 7, 2011 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.
