Daniel Powell 76 of Elyria passed away Wednesday September 16, 2015 at Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake following a short illness. He was born June 29,1939 in Lorain. Daniel served in the United States Navy during Korea aboard the U.S.S. Bryce Canyon. Survivors include daughter Kim (Angel) Laureano Jr. of Elyria , son Marc (Helen) of Elyria , grandchildren Ryan and Tyler Powell , Kayla Cunningham , great-grandchildren Julianna , Mila , Cary , sisters Patricia (Dennis) Reed of Huron , Barbara Powell of Avon Lake. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria J.(nee Fern) July 17, 2014, parents Benedict and Eugenia (nee Pawlowski). Family will receive friends 4PM - until time of service at 7PM Tuesday September 22, 2015 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
