Dallas O. Neuschaefer, 86, of Elyria passed away Tuesday April 1, 2014 at University Hospitals of Elyria following a brief illness. He was born April 4, 1927 in Milwaukee, WI., and was a resident of the Elyria area for most of his life. Dallas worked as a Tinsmith at the General Motors Corp. in Elyria for 28 years, retiring in 1986. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during W.W. II, attended Emanuel Lutheran Church in Elyria, was a member of the American Legion Post 12, was involved in Elyria Little League Baseball for 40 years and was a avid golfer and bowler. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Marilyn (nee-Williams); sons, Bruce (Diane) of LaTrobe, PA., Dean (Mariann) of Sheffield Twp., and Mark (Karen), Lance (Laurie) and Matt (Shawna) all of Elyria; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 2 brothers. He was preceded in death by a son, Delmar, and 1 sister. The family will receive friends on Friday April 4, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 6:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
