Dale Sprague, 99, of Elyria, passed away Saturday May 11, 2019 at the Rae-Ann Nursing Center in Westlake following a brief illness. He was born May 5, 1920 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Dale worked at the Pfaudler Company in Elyria for 43 years, retiring in 1982 from the purchasing department. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and was also a member of the Holy Name Society of the church. Survivors include his son, Robert (Vicki) Sprague; granddaughters, Shona (Greg) Christy and Lia (Michael) Meehan and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta and a brother, Blaine Sprague. The family will receive friends Wednesday May 15, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Weigand Room at St. Mary's Church 320 Middle Ave., Elyria. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church. The Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick, pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the church.
