Dale R. Smith 65 passed away Wednesday June 24, 2015 at Lake Pointe Health Care in Lorain following a lengthy illness. He was born May 29, 1950 in Elyria and was a graduate of Midview High School and went on to Blacksmith School , where upon completion he owned his own business for 36 years. Dale was a member of 4 H Alumni , former 4 H Advisor , former member of the 4 H Quality Assurance Board and Honorary Keystone FFA Chapter Member. He enjoyed trail riding , fishing , camping and most of all his Love for Family. Dale was very generous , goodhearted , and a very giving man. Survivors include his wife of 43 years Carlene (nee Dahlke) , son Brad (Jeannie) of Lakewood , granddaughter Harper, 1 sister , 2 brothers, numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 4-7 PM Tuesday June 30, 2015 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57) Elyria 440-322-4626.
