Colleen B. Hoelscher, (nee-Willemin), 72, of Elyria passed away Thursday February 26, 2015 at her home following a brief battle with cancer. She was born October 6, 1942 in South Bend, IN. and was a Elyria resident for most of her life. A registered nurse, Colleen retired from the Lorain County Office on Aging in 2013. She formerly worked as a supervisor at EMH Regional Medical Center. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Elyria where she served on the bereavement committee and volunteered as a usher at the Stocker Center. Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Wyland of Elyria; son, John Hoelscher of Elyria; grandchildren, Paul, Jeffrey and Lindsey; brothers, Daniel Willeman of Elyria and Douglas Willeman of Phoenix, AZ.. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Jean Willemin and a brother, David Willemin. The family will receive friends on Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria.
