Clyde J. Horton, 96, of Elyria passed away Friday July 23, 2021 at his home following a brief illness. He was born August 3, 1924 in Eaton Township and was a lifelong Lorain County resident. Clyde worked as a laborer at the former Don Beal Construction Company. Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Edna (nee-Morris); daughters, Linda Weber and Karen (Larry) Schuster; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 2 brothers. The family will receive friends Wednesday July 28, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. The Rev. Chuck Behrens will Officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
