Clifford L. Singer 82, of Elyria passed away Sunday March 17, 2019 at University Hospitals Cleveland following a brief illness. He was born November 28, 1936 in Cleveland, OH. Clifford had served in the U.S. Army, and had worked for Kroger's and Rini Rego's as a produce clerk. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, travel and visiting casinos. Survivors include his wife of sixty years; Carol A. (nee: Knipper), a daughter; Patricia K. Hopkins of LaGrange, a son: Jeffrey M. Singer (Laura ) of Elyria. Additional survivors include six grand children, five great grandchildren, and a brother: Kenneth C. Singer of Elyria. Clifford was preceded in death by a daughter; Joanne R. Singer, a son; Todd A. Singer (Linda), his parents; Leonard and Sarah (nee: Grumney) Singer, and a brother; Donald E. Singer. The family will receive friends from 1-4 PM Sunday March 24, 2019 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria where funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday March 25, 2019. Pastor Luigi Perez of LaPorte United Methodist Church will officiate.
