Clayton A. Podlich, 68, of Elyria passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday July 8, 2024, following a long illness. He was born on December 16,1955 to parents Harry and Mertylmae (nee: Hill) and lived most of his life in Lorain County. Clayton worked in the trucking industry for nearly 40 years, was a member of the Teamsters Union, and retired in 2022. He enjoyed collecting model trucks and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Gaylan (nee:Boyce);daughters Jeannie Roose (James) and Kelly Scarbrough; son Ronald Podlich; niece Amber Ortiz (Thurman); six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister; Mary Nichols, and many nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Walter Podlich; and sister Iris Chapin.
A Celebration of Life will be held 4-7 PM Saturday August 17, 2024 at Pikewood Manor Club House 1780 Lorain Blvd. Elyria.
