Clarence A. "Casey" Foster 81, of Elyria passed away Friday July 26, 2024 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center following a brief illness.  He was born May 10, 1943 in Hamtramack, MI.  Casey was a 1961 Clearview High School graduate. He served in the U.S. Navy, then worked as a tool and die maker retiring from General Motors.  Casey was a member of V.F.W. Post # 1079, he enjoyed motorcycling and was also a member of The Red Barn Riders.  Survivors include his wife of sixty two years; Gail E. (nee: Lengyel), a daughter; Donna Reddinger (Kenneth E. Jr.) of Elyria, a son; Darren A. Foster (Lori) of Elyria. Additional survivors include five grandchildren, five great grandchildren with a sixth due. Casey was preceded in death by his parents; Harold and Josephine (nee: Dziedzic) Foster, a sister; Margaret Rataj, and a brother; David Foster.  The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM on Friday August 2, 2024 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria (440)322-4626  where V.F.W. Post #1079 will provide full military honors at 5:00 PM immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Burial will be private.  Casey's family suggest that memorial contributions in his memory be sent to V.F.W. Post #1079 500 S. Abbe Rd.
