Chris D. Greene, 54, of Carlisle Township, passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2025 at his home. He was born in Elyria on April 1, 1970 to parents John and Norma (nee: Gregg) and was a 1988 graduate of North Ridgeville High School. He worked as a welder at Invacare for many years and was employed by Twin Lakes Mobile Home Park until his death, and was also a minister for Iron Bar Ministries; on Thursday's and Sunday's he spread God's word at Lorain County Juvenile Home.  Chris was an avid hunter, a self proclaimed mountain man, and he enjoyed cheering for the Cleveland Browns. Survivors include his two sons, Cody (Kelcey) and Jacob (Amber); mother, Norma (nee: Gregg); sister, Paula Novak; brother, Jeffrey (Janet), and granddaughter, Kylah; nephews, Matthew Novak, Brock Greene, Alex Dutton; niece, Katie Jarrett. Chris is preceded in death by his father, John "Jack" Greene and brother, Rodger Novak. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at State Route 57) in Elyria. Burial will be private. There will be a celebration of Chris' life on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Twin Lakes Lodge 42660 Albrecht Road in Elyria.  Memorial contributions can be sent to the funeral home in care of the family.
