Charlotte White McClune 86, of Elyria died Saturday July 23, 2011 at her home following a long illness. She was born May 7, 1925 in Cleveland. Charlotte was a 1943 graduate of Elyria high School; she had attended The College of St. Mary of the Springs (now known as Ohio Dominican University) where she majored in early childhood education. She was employed at the Higbee Company (Downtown Cleveland), Public Square, and Midway Mall for twenty seven years. Charlotte was a lifelong member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Elyria. Her personal hobbies included spending time with her family; especially with her grandchildren, and great granddaughter, walking, and travel. Charlotte is survived by four sons; Dr. Gregory J. (Mari) of Atlanta, GA., Thomas J. and James D. of Elyria, John M. of Portland, OR, a daughter; Sarah Langford (David) of Elyria. Additional survivors include nine grandchildren; Geoffrey, Timothy, Christopher, Tracy, Jacqueline, Jimmy, David, Lisa, Brian and great granddaughter; Marleigh, two sisters; Rosemary Franey of Stamford, CT., Patricia Brieck (Richard) of Granville, OH., , and a brother; Robert (Joy) of North Olmsted. She was preceded in death by her husband; Dale J. McClune, her parents; Harry and Rose (nee: Deighan) White, brothers; Harold and William, and a sister; Dorothy Barres. NO VISITATION.
