Charles E. Wise, 76, of Elyria passed away Saturday December 10, 2016 at O'Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville following a long illness. He was born September 12, 1940 in Canton and was an Elyria resident for most of his life. Charles worked as a linesman at the Ford Motor Company for 18 years, retiring in 1985. He was a United States Army veteran, a member of the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church and a former member of the Elyria Eagles. Survivors include his wife, Joyce (nee-Powell); daughter, Rhonda (Dan) Norman of Elyria; son, Edward (Kalyn) Wise of Wellington; 3 grandchildren; sisters, Carol Hawkes and Mickey Coleman; brothers, Marshall and Edward Wise. He was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Wise and brothers, Frank and Daniel Wise. The family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church 38550 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria. Services will be Thursday December 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Pastor Greg Lockridge will Officiate. Burial will be Friday December 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH.
