Charles G. "Charlie" Patouhas 86, of Elyria passed away Sunday October 7, 2018 at The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus following a short illness. He was born September 21, 1932 in Kata Hora, Greece. Charlie immigrated to America in 1951, and moved to Elyria in 1963 to open the Elyria Holiday Inn. He owned and operated two Holiday Inns in Kentucky. Charlie's entrepreneurial spirit lead him into the produce business as well. He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Lorain. Survivors include a daughter; Teresa M. Masters (Ronald) of Elyria, a son; Demetrius C. Patouhas of Elyria, additional survivors include five grandchildren and one great grandchild, three nephews and one niece. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife of fifty four years; Maureen J. (nee: McDevitt), a daughter; Dianne L. Ramirez, his parents; George and Paraskevi Patouhas, and a brother; Theodore G. Patouhas (Argena). Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday October 11, 2018 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church 2000 Tower Blvd. Lorain, OH. 44053 where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM.
