Charles L. "Pap Pap" Smith Sr. 84, of North Ridgeville passed away Wednesday February 24, 2016 at UH Elyria Medical Center following a long illness. He was born January 31, 1932 in Indiana, PA. Pap Pap served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Container Repair, and had previously worked for Brown Fintube. Pap Pap treasured spending time with his family; loved driving his Buick, and playing cards. Survivors include four daughters; Linda J. Enia (Bill) of Prosperity, PA., Jo Ann Wisner of North Ridgeville, Cindy L. Bennett (Rick) of New Springfield, OH, Lisa D. Trull (Doug) of Beaver, WV., four sons; Randy L. (Linda) of Valdosta, GA, Charles L. Jr. (Samantha) of Elyria, Thomas L. of North Ridgeville, Jeff L. of Elyria. Additional survivors include fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. Pap Pap was preceded in death by his wife of thirty four years; Eleanor J. (nee: Sharp), his parents; Lawrence and Zula (nee: Overdorff), and five brothers and two sisters. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Sunday February 28, 2016 at The Laubnthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
