Charles L. Gribben, 87, of Elyria passed at his home on Thursday October 5, 2023. He was born September 23, 1936 in Wakeman and was an Elyria resident for most of his life. Charles was a career Truck Driver and last worked for the United Parcel Service for 34 years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Elyria United Polish Club and the Elyria Eagles and a life member of AMVETS Post 38. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Jo Ann (nee Schroeder); daughters, Vicki (Russell) Dakters and Patricia (Ron) McCloskey-Holden; son, Douglas (Joan) Grtibben; adopted daughter, Shelly Litten; adopted son, Tom Frabotta; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Laurita Smith and brothers, Robert and Richard. All services and burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
