Charles S. Crabeels, 69, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at his residence. He was born February 23 , 1950 in Goodrich, MI. Charles worked for Ford Motor Co. as a Union Rep. until retirement. He was a member of American Legion post # 12, Elyria Eagles #431, Elyria Polish Club, Amvets post # 32, VFW post # 1079, and Ely Masonic Lodge # 424. Charles proudly served his Country in the Army during Vietnam. He enjoyed remodeling, rebuilding hot rods and especially enjoyed his friends and family. Survivors include his wife of 45 years Linda (nee Snyder); sons Shawn (Rebekah) of Stow, Jeffrey (Staci) of LaGrange, Mark (Jessi) of Elyria; grandchildren Alexis, Brooke, Callie, Carleigh, Kendal, Wyatt; sisters Dolores "Lolly" Hooser of Middleburg Hts., Theresa (Rick) Krawczyk of N. Royalton; twin brother Lawrence "Butcher" of Elyria. He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Theresa (nee Elek); grandson Lucas; sister Nancy Pritz. Family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life 3-7PM Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the American Legion Post # 12, 393 Ohio St. Elyria, Ohio 44035, where a Ely Masonic Lodge service will be at 6PM, followed by full military honors provided by VFW post #1079. In lieu of flowers family suggests those who wish may make donations in Charles's name to the Ely Masonic Lodge # 424 654 and a half Main St. Vermilion, Ohio 44089.
