Charles Edwin Corns, 83, affectionately known as "Grumpy", passed away Thursday June 20, 2024 at his home. He was born April 30, 1941 in Sandyville, WV. Grumpy lived a life full of love, laughter and kindness for everyone he came into contact with, but especially his family. Grumpy was a devoted husband to his wife of 61 years, Florretta "Flo" (nee-Williams) and a loving father to his children. Grumpy loved to be outdoors, enjoyed a good beer, playing with his grandchildren and always helping the neighborhood kids work on their bikes. Survivors include his wife Flo; son, Edwin Corns; daughters, Melissa Giar (Jim) and Tonya (Brian) Schmidt; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday June 27, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
