Charles H. "Butch" Carroll Jr. 79, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday February 10, 2020. He was born April 11, 1940 in Morgantown, WV. Butch retired from General Motors where he worked as a setup man. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and enjoyed family poker games and fishing. Survivors include his daughters; Kimberly A. King of Elyria, Barbara L. Fitz (Greg) of Oberlin, Diana S. Horvath of Wellington, Jennifer M. Whitehead of Elyria, Vicki J. Carroll (fiancé Mike) of Elyria, Lisa M. Eger and Kristen Eger. Additional survivors include thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, his sisters; Debra Belding and Linda Belding DesForges. Butch was preceded in death by his parents; Charles H. Sr. and Roxie M. (nee: Shisler) Carroll., three brothers; Frank, Lash, Melvin and a son in law; David Horvath. The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Monday February 17, 2020 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
