Charlene Ann Gerber (nee: Gang) 82, of Elyria passed away Wednesday February 1, 2023 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center following a short illness.  She was born November 20, 1940 in Lakewood, Ohio.  Charlene was a 1958 Elyria High School graduate, and had worked as a supervisor at York International. She was a member of Community of Faith U.C.C. Charlene loved her family, and enjoyed sewing, playing cribbage and bingo, and watching football. Survivors include her grandson; Andrew W. Gerber (Ashley) of Vanburen, AR., a great grandson; Lance Gerber, and a brother; Ned Gang (Marlyn) of Elyria.  Charlene was preceded in death by her husband of sixty one years; William K. whom she married on June 4, 1960, a son; William C. and her parents; Charles W. and Beatrice E. (nee: Walker) Gang. A Celebration of Charlene and William's lives will be 1:00 PM Thursday February 9, 2023 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria, Ohio (440)322-4626. The Reverend Arik Borstad will officiate. Burial will be private.
