Obituary

Cecilia Stillwagon, (nee-Kosmalski), 92, passed away peacefully at Rose Senior Living-Avon on September 12, 2024. She was born on October 21, 1931 in Midland, PA to her parents Frank and Caroline Kosmalski and graduated from Midland High School in 1949. She married her high school sweetheart , Ken on June 2, 1951. They enjoyed 72 years of marriage before Ken passed away in April of 2024. Ceil is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Steve) Behrens and son, Kenneth Jr. (Mary Jo). She also leaves the four loves of her life, granddaughters, Stephanie Stillwagon (Andrew Hickerson), Brittany (Will) Rall, Samantha (Matt) Paul and Veronica Behrens. In addition she is survived by two sets of great-grandchildren-Anthony and Jordyn Paul and Kayden and Hudsyn Hickerson. She also leaves behind one sister, Florence Demich, a sister-in-law, Janet Stillwagon, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her loving husband and her parents, Ceil was preceded in death by brothers, Theodore and Anthony Kosmalski, sisters, Jean Bekar and Rose Marie Rine and half brothers Walter, Stanley and Frank Pedro. Ceil was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, bowling, ceramics and playing card games. She worked in retail at J.C.Penney for several years in the 1970's. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. After retiring, Ceil and Ken worked for Milan Tours as escorts, taking groups on bus tours throughout the northeastern United States. The lived in Elyria for almost 30 years before moving to Florida and spending over 30 years of their retirement in Punta Gorda and On Top of the World in Ocala. They returned to Ohio in 2021 and spent their remaining years at Rose Senior Living in Avon. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Rose Senior Living and Nivalis Healthcare for their compassionate care and friendship. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve  National Cemetery in Seville, OH where Ceil and Ken will be taken together at a later date.
