Cecile A. Gardner, (nee-Crittenden), 84, of Elyria passed away Saturday September 3, 2022 at O'Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville following a long illness. She was born August 20, 1938 in Sullivan, OH. And was a lifelong area resident. Cecile worked at Green Circle Growers for 45 years, retiring as a laborer in 2018. She enjoyed gambling, spending time with her family and traveling with her late husband. Survivors include her daughters, Ronda (Don) Trigg and Renea Gardner; son, George H. Gardner; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Gentry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis "Buster the Babe" Gardner on August 10, 2021, daughter, Rita Pritt, son, Michael Gardner and a sister, Vicki Kirkpatrick. The family will receive friends Monday September 12, 2022 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Tuesday September 13, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Shank Jr., Cecile's nephew will Officiate. Burial will follow at River Road Cemetery, LaGrange Township.
