Catherine M. "Katie" Jezewski (nee: Gilles) 79, of Wellington passed away at home on Monday December 28, 2015 following a long illness. She was born May 28, 1936 in Elyria. Katie was a an Elyria Catholic High School graduate. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. Katie was an avid gardener; she enjoyed music and was a talented artist. Survivors include three daughters; Dawn M. Metz (Everett) of Wellington, Anne M. Rinehart (Bert) of Wellington, Elaine M. Jezewski of Wellington, four sons; Thomas of Elyria, Bill (Donna) of Elyria, Brian (Pam) of Beaufort, SC, Bruce (Cyndi) of San Antonio, TX. Additional survivors include fourteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three sisters; Mary Ehlers (Lou) of Elyria, Grace Brown (Bud) of Amherst, Isabelle Winchester of Grafton, and a brother; Edward Gilles (Kim) of Elyria. Katie was preceded in death by her husband; John T., a son; John Paul, her parents; Edward and Myrtle (nee: Donahue) Gilles, a sister; Dorothy Frabotta (nee: Gilles), and three brothers; Dick, Leo, and Jim Gilles. The family will receive friends from 1-4 PM Saturday January 2, 2016 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
