Caterina Gentile (nee: Cristofaro) 72, of Elyria passed away Monday December 31, 2012 at The Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness. She was born February 1, 1940 in Davoli, Italy. Caterina was a self employed seamstress; she was dedicated to her husband and children; and was kind and generous to all who knew her. Survivors include two daughters; Eleanora Gentile (Giovanni) of Italy, Cristina Yersavich (Joseph) of Columbus. Additional survivors include four grandchildren; Vittorio, Marco, Samuel, and Erin, two sisters; Teresa Corapi of Baltimore, MD, Vittoria Cristofaro of Italy, two brothers; Vincenzo Cristofaro of Italy, Dominic Cristofaro of Baltimore, MD. Caterina was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty years; Salvatore, her parents; Vittorio and Angela (nee: Gualtieri) Cristofaro, and a brother; Luciano Cristofaro.
