Carolyn Anne Yanke (nee: Kruck) 84, of Columbia Station passed away peacefully at home on Saturday December 2, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born January 6, 1939 on a farm in New Castle, PA.; and was a Lincoln West High School graduate.  Carolyn was a Columbia Station resident for forty five years where she had also served as a Columbia Station Trustee. She treasured spending time with family and friends, and loved cooking and gardening. Carolyn was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Survivors include two daughters; Jonna S. Hunter (Michael Macon), Traci L. Carrico (Kenneth), three sons; Alvin D. Welch Jr. (Melissa), Mikel Yanke (Paula), William Yanke.  Additional survivors include eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of twenty nine years; Duane Yanke, her parents; John and Helen (nee: Buly) Kruck, and a brother; John Robert Kruck.  The family will receive friends Tuesday December 5, 2023 from 4-7 PM at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria (440)322-4626. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday December 6, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 25801 Royalton Rd. Columbia Station, OH 44028 where the Reverend Father Ed Holland, Pastor will be the Celebrant. (Please meet at church) Burial will be private.
