With the dignity and quiet grace with which she lived her 94 years, Carole (Rising) Mitchell peacefully entered God's Kingdom on October 6, 2021. The youngest of six children born to John and Victoria Praszek, Carole arrived in a small farm house on Crook Street in Grafton on May 2, 1927. During World War II she worked at General Industries in Elyria as a solderer, and graduated from Grafton High School's class of 1945. She was married to Robert Rising from 1947 until his passing in 1982, and then Donald Mitchell from 1989 until his death in 2001. Throughout this time, she resided on Indian Hollow Road where she remained for 73 years. Carole was an extraordinary homemaker, and loved cake decorating, bowling and golf. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, United Polish Club, Assumption Parish, and then Our Lady Queen of Peace church. She is survived by her son Don (Gladys) Rising of Harrogate, Tennessee; daughter Susan (Dennis) Taylor of Grafton, Ohio; granddaughter Alexis Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews in Ohio, Michigan, New York, Florida, and Texas. Family will receive friends from 10 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 708 Erie St. Grafton, Ohio 44044. Rev. Fr. Charles Ryba will be the Celebrant. Burial St. Mary Cemetery (Grafton). Following Burial the family invites you to join them in celebrating her life at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.
