Carol Jean Thompson (nee Agnew), 84, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center. She was born December 31, 1932 in Cleveland and was a graduate of Olmsted Falls High School, where she was class President. She retired from the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services. She was a past member of Isabella Guild. Carol enjoyed reading, gardening, and attending Friday night goober garage. She was a wonderful wife , loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 67 years Bob; daughters Shirley (Gary) Hewitt of Findlay, Susan (John) Fletcher of Elyria; sons Richard (Tina) of Elyria, John (Barbara) of Sheffield Village; grandchildren Phillip (Ann Marie), Cory (Tina), Alan (Stephanie), Jamie , Kristi (Zachary), Heather , Jenny, John Jr., and James (Krystal); 6` great grandchildren; sister June (Harry) Pinner of Jupiter, FL.; brother Robert (Nancy) of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Helen Agnew (nee Licht); son Bruce; sister Louise.
