Obituary

Carol Ann Scarl-Abbey of Grafton fondly known as "Mamoo" passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange. She was born December 28, 1936 in Lorain and was a graduate of Clearview High School. Carol was a realtor for Russell Realty for 45 years. She was a breeder of race horses and raced them at Northfield Park, avid collector of baseball cards, avid collector of antiques ,collecting coke memorabilia and visiting casinos. Survivors include her daughters Nicole (Doug) Kuch, Patty (John) Johnson; grandchildren Dylan, Ryan and Collin Johnson, Lauren Kuch (fiancée Aidan Wilson) and Andrew Kuch; great granddaughter Sierra Johnson; sister Louetta (Ray) Mosley.She was preceded in death by her husbands Joseph Scarl in 1995 and Robert Abbey in 2013. A memorial mass will be held 11AM Friday, October 9, 2020 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 708 Erie St. Grafton, OH. 44044. Rev. Fr. John Seabold pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial St. Mary Cemetery (Grafton) Arrangements were entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elyria, 440-322-4626.
