Carol S. Duffield (nee: O'Brien), 73, of Grafton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at her home. She was born in Elyria on January 24, 1951 to parents Charles and Peggy (nee: Gentry). Carol worked in property management and enjoyed nature, butterflies, and reading. Survivors include her sons, Christopher (Corinne), Derek; sister, Brenda Plata; grandchildren, Krista, Shannon, Chloe; nephews, Kevin Plata, Robert Boone; niece, Helena Schaffer. She is preceded in death by her parents. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at State Route 57) in Elyria.
