Carol Ann Hamm (nee: Baldauf) 72, of Grafton passed away Sunday January 8, 2017 at The Cleveland Clinic following a short battle with cancer. She was born July 7, 1944 in Lorain. Carol had worked for The Midview Board of Education for twenty six years as an administrative assistant. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, and treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren. Carol enjoyed gardening, bicycling, cooking, baking, and sewing. Survivors include her husband of fifty one years; James P., three sons; James E. (Marilyn) , Kenneth M. (Jessica), and Joseph R. (Aimee) all of Grafton. Additional survivors include nine grandchildren, two brothers; Bernard Baldauf (Davena) of Avon Lake, David Baldauf (Becky) of Ashland. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; Harold and Marcella (nee: Gerhart) Baldauf, and two brothers; Raymond and Ronald Baldauf. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Wednesday January 11, 2017 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where closing prayers will be at 9:30 AM Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday January 12, 2017 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 708 Erie St. Grafton, OH 44044. Reverend Father John P. Seabold, Pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will be private at St. Mary Cemetery in Grafton at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in Carol's memory be sent to Helping Hands Ministry or Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church Endowment Fund 708 Erie St. Grafton.
