Carl R. Denk 76 of LaGrange passed away Tuesday December 16,2014 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a short illness. He was born April 15 , 1938 in Maple Heights, Ohio, where he was a graduate of Maple Heights High School and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. Carl was an Engineer for Ford Motor Company for 20 years. He loved hiking , electronics and computers was also a pilot who built and owned his own airplane, Carl was also very active in Carlisle Township. Survivors include his wife of 46 years Joan (nee Lavrich) , daughters Cheryl (Michael) Lukachek of North Ridgeville ,Janet (Travis) Ballagh of Roswell, Georgia , 3 grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents Julius and Anna (nee Marth). Family will receive friends 4PM- 5PM Monday December 22, 2014 , where Celebration of Carl's Life will be at 5PM.at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
