Brian S. Dietrich, 67, of North Ridgeville passed away Wednesday August 2, 2023 at U.H. St. John Westshore Hospital following a brief illness. He was born March 11, 1956 in Onslow, NC. And was a Cleveland resident for most of his life. Brian was employed by the United States Postal Service for 32 years, retiring in 2011 as a mail handler. He proudly served in the United States Army, was a past commander of AMVETS Post 32 in Elyria and enjoyed helping his fellow veterans. He also enjoyed fishing and was an avid Cleveland Browns Football fan. Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Avis (nee-Harvey); daughter, Tessa Rae Dietrich; sons, Brian Dietrich, Joseph Brown (Tricia Page), Clifford (Jessica) Brown and Thomas Brown; 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Letitia Tindale, sister, Cathleen Dietrich and brother, Kevin Dietrich. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday August 9, 2023 in the funeral home. Mr. James Lynsky, Chaplain of AMVETS Post 32 will Officiate.
