Bonnie J. Cowie, (nee-Billings), 68, of North Ridgeville passed away Friday May 6, 2016 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake following a brief illness. She was born August 13, 1947 in Elyria and was an Elyria resident until moving to Bloomfield Hills, MI. in 1992. Upon her retirement in 2011 she returned to North Ridgeville. Bonnie was a school nurse at Cranbrook Kingswood School in Bloomfield Hills, MI. for 20 years, retiring in 2011. She was a 1965 Elyria High School graduate, earned her Registered Nursing degree in 1977 from Lorain County Community College and enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her daughters and her cats. Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Robert; daughters, Robin (nee-Jabbusch) (Trevor) Sink and Lori (nee-Jabbusch) (George) Stuart and a sister, Kathy Fire. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Betty Billings. The family will receive friends Wednesday May 11, 2016 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria.
