Bonita Marie Daniels (nee Cooper), 49, of Elyria passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 26, 1972 in Elyria. Bonita had an associates degree in Social Work. She enjoyed her family, loved the outdoors, horses, painting, decorating for holidays, gardening, reading, going to Kalahari, and was very devoted to her Church. Survivors include her daughters, Tonya Gunter of Elyria, Sonya Jeffray of Dallas, TX.; son, Josh Daniels; grandchildren, Bradley, Prailey, Talon, Kailey, Noah, and Lawrence; mother, Juanita Cooper Jarvis (companion Roy Peck); sister, Anita Goetz of Elyria;, brothers, Bob of Elyria, Mike (Samantha) of Elyria and Matt of N. Carolina. Several nieces, nephews, close friend Dianne Hatfield ,many other friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Daniels. Family will receive friends 4-7 PM Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria 440-322-4626, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 21, 2021. Pastor Darrell Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery (Eaton Twp.)
