Bob G. Wilburn, 85, of Elyria passed away Wednesday September 7, 2016 at his home following a long illness. He was born March 7, 1931 in Lawrence County, TN., and was a Elyria resident for most of his life. Bob worked at the Ridge Tool Company for 35 years, retiring in 1988 as a manager. He was a member of the East Broad Street Church of Christ in Elyria and was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed fishing camping and boating. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Marie (nee-Addington); daughters, Deborah (Jim) Harris, Gail (Terry) Spriestersbach, and Lisa (Terry) Haas; son, Roger (Barbara) Wilburn; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by grandchildren, Dana, Michelle and Michael, a sister, Evelyn Peppers and brothers, Bill and Cliff Wilburn. The family will receive friends Friday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday September 10, 2016 in the funeral home. Terry Spriestersbach will Officiate. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
