Bob Sabo, 65, (formerly of Elyria) passed away unexpectedly on October 2, 2025, at his home in Royse City, TX.  Bob was born on March 17, 1960, in Vilseck, Germany where his father was serving in the U.S. Army. Growing up in Elyria, OH he graduated from Elyria Catholic High School in 1978 and was part of the 1977 Cross Country State Championship Team, an accomplishment he cherished and remained lifelong friends with many of his teammates. After high school he attended the University of Cincinnati where he earned his bachelor's degree in political science.

Bob was a devout Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan and will be remembered for his great love and passion for Bruce Springsteen and the E. Street Band.  Bob enjoyed fishing, duck hunting and playing golf.

Survivors includehis daughter Kate Sabo, OR son, Alex Sabo, AR, and his loyal dog Frankie, 3 sisters – Carol Sabo, Elyria, OH, Debbie Neri (Michael), Georgetown, SC and Terese Sabo, Elyria OH as well as many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in his death are his parents, Richard (Dick) and Verna Sabo and brother Mark Sabo.

Bob will truly be missed for his quick wit and genuine love of his family and friends.  Gone too soon and to quote his idol "the boss," It's not the time in your life it's the life in your time."

A memorial to celebrate Bob's life is being planned for a later date.
