Beverly Ann Staysniak (nee Meyer), 81, of Elyria passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 following a lengthy illness. She was born February 18, 1937 in Edgerton, OH. Beverly was a teacher for Keystone Schools. She had a passion for kids and pushed her students to succeed. She loved spending time outdoors, gardening, birding, and taking in a sporting event. She was selfless, loved her family, and enjoyed a good laugh. Survivors include her daughters : Suzanne (Roger) Ellis of Brownsburg, IN., Stephanie (Rich) Thompson of Grafton; sons : Dr. Thomas (Rhonda) of Ringle, WI., Joseph (Pam) of Brownsburg, IN., Douglas (Cathi) of Galena, OH.; grandchildren Ben, Tyler, Nathan, Mya, Cole, Lucas, Alex, and Jacob; brother : Louis Meyer of Wapakoneta, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd "Stace"; parents Walter and Doris Meyer (nee Lehman); sister Janet Welly. Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 360 Princeton Ave. Elyria, OH. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 12 noon until 1:45 PM at the church. Burial is private.
