Betty Jane Sabo (nee: Johnson) 88, of Elyria went home to be with the Lord Wednesday August 14, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born October 12, 1924 in Elyria. Betty was part of the greatest generation; she left home at a young age to work for The Bendix Co. in support of the war effort during World War II. While raising her four children, Betty enjoyed tending to her prize winning roses. She was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 1079 in Elyria, and the Elyria Moose Lodge. Survivors include three devoted sons; Chris (Nancy) of Avon, Don (Trudy) of Bay Village, and Jed (Teresa) of Elyria, and a daughter; Connie Davis of Elyria. Additional survivors include many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty years; William A. Sabo and a her oldest son; Danny Lee Sabo. A celebration of Betty's life will be held 1:00 PM Sunday August 25, 2013 at the home of Don and Trudy Sabo.
